What the lonely must do

Constantly trying to break away,
Survive the day.
“You can’t have a rainbow
Without a little rain.” (1)
When I realize,
I need
To breath,
To see,
To break from society.

I want to run,
Hide,
I have no pride.


But I learn,
You can’t run,
Can’t hide,
Because when you do,
You no longer choose
Your fate,
And I
“Fall down seven,
Stand up eight” (2)

No longer will I think,
I need to hide,
I learn that I can
“Never fear shadows.
They simply mean
There’s a light shining
somewhere Nearby.”(3)

So I dream again,
Ignore the people
Who disagree,
And now,
I have a purpose,
“Never apologize for
what you feel.
It’s like saying sorry
For being real.” (4)
And Now I have a
Dream.
