Jinx helped Molly get a name for herself, helped her be a villain, taught her skills that could only be taught by some one else. On a random night, Molly was looking at the Moon at a time of inner peace, thinking of how cool it would be if she could see and interact with spirits, when all of a sudden she saw them around her, hence the spirit part of her name, and the two groups started talking. One spirit, a spirit very blunt when it comes to facts, stated, "You have a silver aura" ,hence the silver part of her name.
